Dr. Fernando Gómez-Baquero serves as Director of the Runway Startup Postdoc and Spinout Programs at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, recognized as one of America's most outstanding academic commercialization programs. Under his leadership, the program has achieved remarkable milestones, creating over 100 startups with a combined valuation of $660 million and generating more than 500 jobs in New York City.

Deep Tech Expertise

With over 20 years of experience in advanced nanomaterials research, Dr. Gómez-Baquero specializes in semiconductor applications and energy storage technologies. His groundbreaking work in lithium-ion battery technology and nanoengineered electrodes has positioned him as a leading expert in the field. He holds a PhD in Nanoscale Science and Engineering from SUNY Albany, complemented by master's degrees in both Nanoscale Engineering and Economics.

Bridging Academia and Industry

As a serial entrepreneur and technology transfer expert, he has founded and co-founded multiple hardware and software companies.
